#WomenLead (Issue 115): Your weekly round-up on women in politics
Hello, and welcome to Issue 115!
The week has truly ended an era, as Britain’s monarch 👸, Queen Elizabeth II, breathed her last on September 8th. Her long reign had made her a familiar face to generations of people not just in the UK but around the world, and she would be missed by so many.
But as people mourn her death, we hope we can do so without celebrating monarchy, and definitely without celebrating the British version that rests atop a bloody colonial legacy built on loot and plunder.
In this week’s edition, we bring you updates from India, Senegal, UK and the spotlight is on Türkiye. In case you missed last week’s edition, you can read it here.
