Hello!
Last weekend, I sent out the first milestone-ish edition of the #WomenLead wrap (Issue 10). I take this opportunity to thank you - my first set of subscribers - for coming on board, for your feedback and support, and just for staying with me. Without you, it would have been difficult to keep at this consistently.
When I started this newsletter, I wanted to bring you updates from around the world. In particular, about those women we don’t read or hear about enough, from all parts of the world, including those from marginalized communities, those leading villages, counties, and cities, and not just countries.
However, sitting in India, depending on the English media coverage, I wasn’t sure how far I would be able to achieve that. Today, just days after I have sent out the tenth edition, I feel happy to share the #WomenLead wrap has so far featured almost 60 stories from 32 unique countries.
Going forward
So far, this newsletter has been a curation of updates, interesting articles and analyses. I hope to add more features and resources in the coming weeks. That will, of course, take considerable effort, time and energy, and I could definitely use some help.
Here’s what you can do:
I don’t want to miss out on important stories. Share updates that deserve a wider audience. (womenlead.project@gmail.com)
Give the newsletter a shout out! Help me reach more people. Share and spread the word. Tag us on Twitter.
I want to keep the newsletter free so that more people can access the work and voices of women in politics. Charging a fee could make it less accessible. If you know of any grants, fellowships, or research programs that are willing to fund initiatives like this one, please pass on those opportunities.
Please keep reading and sharing feedback! Here’s hoping to travel to many more countries with you in the upcoming issues of the newsletter.
With love,
Akshi
