Hello, and welcome to Issue 118!

At least 92 people have been killed in Iran’s protest so far, Iran Human Rights, a Norway-based group, estimates. As the protests continue, some powerful and moving protest art has emerged with artists and illustrators articulating what’s at stake in a way words can’t. We have been compiling some of them here. Do yourself a favour and spend a few minutes looking at them.

In this week’s edition, we bring you updates from Italy and Nigeria, and the spotlight is on Kuwait. In case you missed last week’s edition, you can read it here.

She Changes Climate, an initiative that seeks to increase women’s representation at all levels of climate-related decision-making, is once again calling on the world to ensure equal representation of women at the talks. Are those in-charge listening? We hope so!

ICYMI: Without parity, summits like COP26 only make a mockery of climate justice
